- 0.3 km - Briare - Town with boat harbour 0.4km from town centre. The aqueduct over the canal is 663 metres long. The aqueduct is art-nouveau in style and the ironwork was made by the same firm as built the Eiffel Tower. Worth seeing are the 19th century church with enamel mosaics and the local history museum.
- 5.3 km - Ouzouer-sur-Trézée - Village on the right bank.
- 16.2 km - Rogny-les-Sept-Ecluses - Rental Base - Town with basin. Good shops and restaurants. Spectacular seven rise lock staicase.
